Amid a native park-like setting just off the Main North Road at Evanston South, Smithfield Memorial Park offers picturesque lakes and tranquil gardens that provide peaceful areas for burial and cremation memorials.

Sensitive to diverse multicultural burial needs within the local community, the Cemetery provides lawn, traditional headstone and full monument cover burial sites and earth-free burial sites in the form of concrete vaults and mausoleum crypts.

An area of the cemetery, known as Science Park, has been set aside for the burial of persons who bequeath their bodies for the benefit of medical science. A lawn area and a memorial wall provides a place where families may install a plaque to memorialise the deceased.

Facilities

Burial areas include lawn, traditional headstone, full monument cover and children’s garden sites. Other areas are specifically for concrete vault burials, allowing full monument and traditional headstone memorials.

The park also includes a mausoleum and capella vaults.

The cemetery is open to the public every day of the year.
